Trucks equipped with DVS system for safe traffic in London

This week, trucks operating in England received a major upgrade: a new safety system that meets the requirements of the Direct Vision Standard (DVS), a regulation now in force across London.

Why this adjustment?
The aim of the DVS regulations is to drastically reduce the number of accidents caused by the blind spot, with the ultimate goal being zero blind spot accidents.
This initiative is aimed at improving safety, especially for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.

How does it work?
A motion sensor on the side of the truck warns the passer-by with an audio signal (warning vehicle approuching) when they enter the blind spot.
In addition, cameras have been installed on the side and front of the truck. These cameras provide extra visibility to the driver via a screen on the dashboard. In addition, there is a visual warning system that flashes red when someone enters the blind spot, which further reduces the risk of accidents.

In short, a great step forward for our trucks in England!
